My passion for reproductive mental health began during my graduate school internship, when I had the privilege of facilitating parenting groups and providing individual therapy to pregnant and parenting people at the Monarch School. My own experience as a queer and genderfluid parent additionally inspires my work. As a therapist, I strive to create a warm and responsive therapeutic environment, to remain open and curious, and to practice through a social justice lens (you can ask what that means to me!). While my professional training helps me to facilitate the therapeutic process, I recognize that you are the expert in your own experiences, and I deeply value the unique knowledge that you bring into each session. In practice, I call attention to your existing strengths while collaborating with you to make desired changes. I am influenced by humanistic and narrative theoretical approaches to counseling and I am currently in the process of receiving EMDRIA-approved training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. I offer sliding scale pricing and can provide a superbill for insurance.
