MedicalBio:
I first found Reproductive Psychiatry in 2001 as a researcher with the Women's Mental Health Center at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and spent four years researching perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I stayed active in the field while in training at Boston University for my medical license and at MGH/McLean for my internship year. In 2011 I served as chief resident of the Women's Life Center at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and then went on to become the Director of Women's Behavioral and Mental Health at Rush Medical Center in Chicago. In 2015, I was lucky enough to be recruited to San Diego and join the Postpartum Health Alliance (PHA) family and the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) as the Director of Women's Reproductive Mental Health Program. Since then, I feel grateful every day for my training, my profession, my colleagues and the patients I take care of.
