LMFTBio:Hi, I’m Andrea and I am so glad you’re here! I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the owner of Tulipa Therapy in San Diego, California. I have over 15 years of experience in community, juvenile justice, and school system settings, and my passion lies in supporting youth and their families. I specialize in women’s maternal mental health, and love supporting women through their motherhood journey as they navigate challenges in caregiving, and address issues like burnout, anxiety, self-worth, and perfectionism. I also work with individuals facing life transitions, depression, infertility, and grief or loss. I provide online session throughout California and in-person Walk and Talk sessions in San Diego County. I am considered an out-of-network provider and can provide you with a monthly Super Bill statement. I work with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed. My approach centers around clients reclaiming their sense of self, which may have been lost with the pressures of parenthood, work, family life, or relationships. I take a holistic and client-centered approach allowing for collaboration and the honoring client's inner wisdom that is brought into the therapeutic process. My background is in postmodern approaches such as Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Collaborative Therapy that center the client’s unique experiences and discover new possibilities for positive change.
