MDBio:Born and raised as a child of immigrants in Oklahoma, I knew from a young age I wanted to be a psychiatrist. I'm now a step-mom to two t(w)eens and have settled into San Diego after finishing my training in 2021. Launching my private practice in December 2024 opened space for me to focus on the specific patients I care about most - women, transgender and nonbinary patients and their families. I am comfortable treating patients in recovery from substance use, self harm, and disordered eating. I use a conservative and patient-centered approach to prescribing, providing lots of room for patients to contemplate the medication choices that feel most appropriate for their situation alongside my recommendations. I offer 30 minute medication-focused appointments as well as 60 minute appointments focusing on therapy. I utilize approaches from CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic theories.
