Anna Forsberg

Bio:
Whole Heart Postpartum is a team of two postpartum doulas. We are friends, parents, daughters, sisters, partners and caregivers who are passionate about families receiving non-judgmental and whole-hearted support in preparation for and throughout the immediate postpartum period. We love to hold families and their babies amongst the leaky, messy, beautiful threshold of postpartum life and find the available joy* along the way. Specialties: postpartum education during the prenatal period, first-time parents, multi-children families, families who live with older generations, belly binding along with abdominal support, breastfeeding peer support, abortion support, and PMAD support. As a survivor of PMADs, Anna is very comfortable support clients who have or have had a PMAD in the past. She offers her services both in-person and virtually via telehealth and takes COVID precautions seriously. Rates: We offer sliding scale pricing between $30 - $45/hour as function of our values and actions towards building towards a future built out of co-liberation of all peoples. Availability: Daytime support only 8am - 9pm. Service area: North County, Coastal, Central and East County. Outside the 25 mile range is subject to a travel fee. Anna Fosberg is a Postpartum Doula living in East County. She is the current Board President of the San Diego Birth Network and enjoys supporting the birth community through this service. She is a wife and mother to three children, ages 12, 9 and 6. After 12 years of keeping small humans alive, she is now a plant mama (tips are welcomed!). Her favorite things are chai tea, a meal enjoyed with friends, playing board games with her family and talking about all things postpartum with no shame or judgment. Lara Grimmer is a Postpartum Doula based in Encinitas. She felt strongly drawn to the service of mothers, babies, and families after she crossed the threshold into motherhood. Following the birth of her second child, she left a 13-year career in environmental consulting to stay home for two years then enthusiastically trained to become a postpartum doula in early 2019. Called a ‘natural caretaker’, Lara fully embraces the adage that a mother is born each time a baby is born. Lara has been a UC San Diego Extension-trained Lactation Counselor since early 2020 and is training to become a Postpartum Navigator.
