Semira Semino-Asaro, PhD, APRN I am licensed in the State of California as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and as an Adult Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. I am trained to provide psychotherapy and to manage medications for a variety of mental health conditions. My practice is focused on helping women and families cope with mild to moderate postpartum mood and anxiety mental health conditions. I have also received specialized training in infant-parent mental health and continue to expand my skills in this specialty. I have completed further training at the Newton Center for Affect Regulation in San Diego, focusing on dyadic mother-infant psychotherapy. I received most of my nurse practitioner training at UCSD’s outpatient reproductive psychiatry clinic. I served on the Board of PHA as a Development Chair a few years ago and until recently, I was on faculty at a graduate psychiatric nurse practitioner program. I now have a full-time private practice in La Mesa. Thank you.
