I was born in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to joining the clinical social work profession, I earned my undergraduate degree in education and served as an educator for seven years. With an itch to affect change at a wider level, I earned my Masters in educational leadership and spent three years as an academic coach and school principal. My time spent in education taught me important lessons. Addressing all systems that surround our lives in a supportive environment is essential to growth and reflection. I made the decision to transition to clinical social work with the goal of sharing this support for all: children, adults and families. I recently graduated from San Diego State University with my Masters in Clinical Social Work. I'm a registered Associate Social Worker (#78197) employed by Sunset Mental Health and am currently participating in weekly clinical supervision. Whether you are trying to start a family, navigating new parenthood, or raising school-aged children, I believe it takes a village. My teaching background, in combination with my clinical social work experience and skills, gives me a unique perspective in helping you. I maintain a practice focused on individual and family psychotherapy. I also facilitate support groups for those trying to conceive families.
